Babylegs, Huggalugs, and Skidpants review and giveaway!

Who doesn't love a pair of baby leg warmers? I sure love them. I got the chance to try out 3 different brands, Babylegs, Skidpants, and Huggalugs. These were all 3 wonderful products. I always get asked what are those and where did you get them when I am out and about.

BabyLegs ... Tides Organic (shown)
-Make diaper changes a breeze
-Protect soft knees from harsh surfaces
-Keep legs warm year round
-Provide light weight sun protection
-Make EC'n & potty training easier
-Jazz up any dance class
-Make a fun fashion statement with styles for every occasion.
-Feet remain free to allow for successful crawling, walking, and dancing.
BabyLegs also help keep socks on! They fit most kids from newborns to size 10 - BabyLegs will warm your little ones for a long time. They're fun to use as arm warmers too!

Skal Certified Cotton. Oko-Tex Standard 100 dyes.80% organic cotton, 12% nylon, 8% spandex.

These babylegs are SOOOO soft. I love these because they make diaper changes so easy, and if your son is like mine it is a nightmare to change a diaper. He dislikes it very much....so these make it much faster for me. I have been really wanting to try the Organic ones...and I just love them...I am telling you these are so soft!

Skidpants - Sour Apple (shown)
These were Created by a mom when her son began to crawl to protect his little legs from "skid marks" (otherwise known as rug burn). From this, Skid Pants were born. Skid pants provided protection for his little legs and still gave him the freedom to move and continue to learn that long pants often didn't provide. Skid Pants are a great way to keep those precious legs safe and warm. Cotton/Spandex blend, approx 16" in length.

Out of the 3 different types of warmers these were my favorite. I loved the bright colors and how they fit Ethan. Just look how cute these are. I also liked them becasue they were really long, my son has long legs and they covered them well.

One of the most frequent questions they get is what is the difference between the different brands of baby leg warmers. The three main brands are Huggalugs, SkidPants by Dittany Baby, and BabyLegs.

Age Range: All brands are one size fits most. According to BabyLegs, they work for kids up to age 10 (except the Vermont organics, those are up to age 4).

Huggalugs say they work for kids up to age 6.

Skidpants are the longest, but don't give an age range. Length: The photo to the left shows the original version of each brand of baby leg warmer.

The SkidPants are the longest, followed by BabyLegs, then Huggalugs. BabyLegs also makes an XL and SuperSoft version, which are just slightly shorter than the SkidPants.

Fabrics: The original version of each brand is a cotton/spandex blend, very similar in feel and function.

SkidPants also has a lightweight version, which is made of 100% nylon, similar to nylon tights. These are great for warmer climates and summer time.

BabyLegs also has an organic line. Most of the organics are very similar to their originals, except the Vermont made ones. Those fit a bit smaller. BabyLegs SuperSofts are made of a very soft polyester, and feel luxurious.

Pricing: Base price for all the brands is $12. Organics, Supersoft, and Lightweights cost a bit more, as do the XL version of BabyLegs. Accessories: Huggalugs makes matching organic t-shirts that coordinate with a handful of their legwarmers.

Huggalugs - Deepest Navy (shown)
Hug your little ones in colour with Huggalugs range of Leg and Arm Huggers (leg warmers).
Designed to keep little legs and arms warm at all times:
under pants or under skirts
no pants or no skirts
just a nappy (diaper) or no nappy
under tops, over tops or no tops at all Huggalugs super funky Huggers will keep little legs and arms covered, protecting them from the elements and hard surfaces.

Huggalugs is an Australian made and owned clothing label. Huggalugs brand leg huggers fit most kids ages 0-6 yrs. They are 80% cotton, 15% nylon, 5% spandex. Care: Cold machine wash. Do not tumble dry. Do not iron. Do not dry clean. Allow for 5% shrinkage due to high cotton content. Wash before wearing.

These pair were nice as well. They were a bit on the short side for my son but still worked just as nice. I just love how easy and quick these are. You can not live with out these.

  1. Thanks for the great reviews. I have always wondered how the different brands compare. We have babylegs and they are a bit on the short side for my 3 year old niece. I would love to give the skidpants brand a try. The lightweight style looks interesting.

  3. Love love LOVE Babylegs! My son wears his Pirate themed legs all the time under jeans when it gets "colder" (we're in AZ so it doesn't get that cold!) and in the summer he toddles around with the "legs" on and a diaper and a T-shirt...perfect summer baby attire!

  4. I have been using babylegs since my daughter was born 2 years ago. My son is 10 months and is so chunky he can't fit in them, so I would love to try a different brand or the xl babylegs.
