For all you Great Lakes lovers Great Lakes Shirts is a fantastic find. I came across them on Facebook when a friend of mine had one of their t-shirts tagged in a picture. I LOVED the simplicity of the shirts and how crisp the screenprinting looked.

Here's what Great Lakes Shirts have to say about their shirts: These shirts have nothing but an outline of the Great Lakes on them. No promo for your friend's indie band. No logos. No cities, states, or any other political boundaries in the design. Just the lakes: Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, and Superior. No explanation.

It's just that simple.

As soon as my Pink Girl Fit T-Shirt showed up I noticed what an excellent quality t-shirt was used. The cotton is thick and I know from past experience with shirts of this type that it is going to hold up well with regular washing and wear. I also have to mention how excited I am with the quality of ink used for screenprinting by Great Lakes Shirts! I've washed and worn the shirt twice now and the ink hasn't cracked at all. This is pretty significant since a lot of screenprinted shirts tend to crack very badly the first time you wash them.

Sorry I couldn't do a self-portrait of the Girl Fit T-Shirt in use, but you've all see a similiar style before so use your imagination... ;) These Girl Fit T-Shirts tend to run on the small size so I'd recommend ordering a size up to accomodate this as well as the fact that the shirt is cotton and will shrink slightly with washing.

Shoes are the ultimate accessory in my book -- this is probably why I continue to amass a collection of them (rarely letting any go). So it was with no surprise that I started looking at children's shoes before my son was even out of the womb. While in the olden days (1970's and 80's) children's shoes came in one color (white) and looked down right therapeutic, today we are lucky to have an abundant choice when it comes to adorning the tiny toes in our homes. The construction of the shoes is top notch. And remember, I think shoes function as amazing accessories. These Keep "accessories" do not disappoint. I had a difficult time deciding which style to choose for my son. Hipster, skater, preppy, urban, classic -- you name a style and Keep has a shoe to fit. The Benten, the style I ultimately chose, is the perfect mix of preppy classic and modern hipster. It's the ultimate boat shoe with perfect little details like lacing along the side and a whipstitch along the toe. And the pattern, Starry Night, is a very cool Japanese print -- every print they offer is this cool.

My son loves wearing them (and can even help get them on and off with the easy Velcro closure). And I love looking at them on his feet. In the new atmosphere of plentiful children's shoe choices Keep shines like a star.

Protecting Your Investment with OtterBox

About 3 years ago my husband and I got our first iPhones.  I loved my new multi-purpose gadget and decided that I would use a case to protect it from my inevitable clumsiness.  Six months later with at least 4 cases lying destroyed in the trash I decided gave up on protecting my investment (and let's face it, most phones these days are an investment).  The payment for this decision was that for its last year of life my phone was held together with invisible tape and super glue.

Being "chatty chatty" and hands-free with Jawbone!

I recently received The Thinker from Jawbone to conduct a review for all you awesome SIMPLE readers! Let me tell you, I am in LOVE with this! As a busy mom with two little ones that require so much of my time, it is nice to be hands free! I do a lot of running around, which requires a lot of driving. The thing that I love the most about my new Jawbone is the fact that I can drive hands free. I never really thought it was a big deal...until I got an earpiece of my own. Now, I will not drive without it!

I have a very busy girlfriend with children as well, and she leaves her Jawbone in her ear all day while at home so she is able to take any incoming calls and still be able to attend to her children. And one more cool thing about this earpiece, it tells you the phone number of the incoming call so you can choose whether or not you want to take it. Yet another great feature for the busy person!

It is sleek, very modern and works GREAT! You can choose from approximately 4 different voices that the earpiece can talk to you. Mine says, "I'm activated, ready for action". Cool!! It also has this cool technology that "buffers out background noise." There is actually a much more technical explanation, but that is how my simple brain understand it! :)

What Dad who bikes wouldn't want a Kuat?

What do you get for the dad who has everything? If your house is anything like mine, when my husband wants something he will just head out and get it. Before I got pregnant, I was all about the tiny shoe with pointy heel. I loved my high heeled stilettos, I must admit.

Then I got pregnant, and more than just my belly changed. My back started killing me, I needed support in areas I never knew existed. I went to the best shoe store in town and asked them to hook me up with something that would take the load off. Without hesitation, she told me I needed a pair of Danskos.

And thus began the obsession. What's so amazing about them is that you get a really supported foot, taking the pressure off your knees and back. I love that my feet don't feel cramped in the shoes. A good Dansko fit means that your toes can easily wiggle around your heel moves around freely as well.

On the outside, Danskos are just plain cute. My first pair were the Professional ($120) in black patent leather. I love the way they look with jeans, for once I don't mind people looking at my feet. I loved my first pair so much that I got a second pair, the Marcelle. I also wear my Marcells with jeans, but think they look really classy with thick tights and a cute skirt.

This spring, I'm thinking I might need to get a pair of the Sally's might be appropriate.
