Hazelaid - The Natural Teething Pain Remedy

I have come across this amazing product that has me saying three things...

1. I wish I had gotten this a longggg time ago.
2. I am going to tell every single person I come in contact with about this.
3. We cannot live without these!!

I have been over-the-top excited to share with you about a company called Hazelaid. Hazelaid sells necklaces using amber, hazelwood and magnets; each of those having a plethora of natural healing benefits.

Both my boys and I have been wearing Hazelaid's amber necklaces for several weeks now, and are reaping the benefits! Amber is commonly known as "teething jewelry" in Europe - this is exactly what brought me to Hazelaid in the first place. I wanted a more natural way to ease my baby's teething pain as opposed to giving him Tylenol every 4 hours. I also got a necklace for myself since I suffer from frequent headaches/migraines, and then one for my 2 year old mostly so he could be matchy-matchy with is brother!

I have seen a significant decrease in my headaches when wearing the necklace regularly. But the real testimony is from my little guy! He got to the point when his first teeth were coming in where he was waking up throughout the night, and super fussy during the day. He's always been a good sleeper, so I know it was from the pain of teething. Since wearing this necklace, he does not wake up throughout the night in pain, and his disposition is TOTALLY different. To get the most benefits from the amber necklace, you need to wear it as often as possible. On days I forget to put it on him, I've got a CRANKY and in-pain baby on my hands who won't sleep through the night.

I could write a post a mile long about how great Hazelaid's products are, but you'll just have to go to their website and read about all their amazingness. I'll just list what they use to make the necklaces and a few of their healing properties. For each one I'll link back to the page on Hazelaid's website where they give its full benefits:

Amber - pain relief, fevers, restoring energy

Hazelwood - acid reflux, skin problems such as eczema

Magnetic Therapy - arthritis, carpal tunnel, chronic pain

If you are looking for effective, NATURAL ways to enhance healing for your family, look no further than Hazelaid. They offer an assortment of children and adult jewelry including necklaces, bracelets and anklets.

GET YOUR OWN!! (with a coupon!) Visit the Hazelaid site to purchase any of their products. They are offering our readers a 10% discount on their purchase by using the code SIMPLE10. (The 10% will be refunded to you via PayPal AFTER your order is received. At checkout, enter the SIMPLE10 code in the "How you Heard of Hazelaid" section which is located right below the styles picked at checkout.) this coupon expires 11/19/09

WIN YOUR OWN!! Hazelaid would like to giveaway any child or adult necklace, bracelet or anklet - winner's choice, to one of our lucky SIMPLE readers! To enter, simply shop around their site, then come back here and comment which product you would choose!

Temple Touch Thermometer

Unfortunately flu season is just around the corner and the inevitably sickies aren't far behind. As a parent, the best thing we can do is try to stay healthy, but be prepared and brace ourselves for anything and everything those nasty germs can throw our way.

Fortunately for us parents, technology has come a long way in the past few years and getting a clinically accurate temperature (in the middle of the night) is not as hard as it used to be.

The Temple Touch Thermometer by ReliOn is different from other thermometers because it's completely non-invasive. Suddenly obtaining that temperature on a fussy, sick baby is easy.

I've had the Temple Touch for awhile now and fortunately have only had to use it twice. I love it because it was easy to get that temp on my 2 year old even as she slept. I Simply held it up to her temple, waited 6 seconds, and that was it - I had my reading.

Costing only $9.94, the Temple Touch is a product you just don't want to be without this coming Flu Season.

BUY IT NOW! Temple Touch can be purchased at Wal-Mart, Sams Club and online.

WIN YOUR OWN! We have one Temple Touch Thermometer to give away to a lucky Simple reader. Simply leave us a comment letting us know one tip/trick you have for keeping your family healthy during the cold winter months.

Additional Entries (comment each additional entry):

  • Become or already be a follower of SIMPLE

Me4Kidz, First Aid Kits are something ALL Moms need!

This product is the definition of PERFECT for moms that are worried about the environment, and about harmful chemicals coming into contact with their kids. We ALL need first aid kits. No one wants to need them, but we DO!
When looking into the ethics of this company, it doesn't take long before you know that offering well made kid friendly products that give back to the community, that are USA made of 100% recycled and US/EU lead free plastic, and are latex free…was REALLY important to them WAY before it ever gained popularity by all the scares of products that offered less than this for our children.
They were recently included in a FABULOUS book called Made Here Baby! This was a labor of love for Bruce H. Wolk and you can visit his site at www.madeherebaby.com for more GREAT USA companies that are making a difference in today’s world. I reviewed the Medibag, and it is great! (It also gets awesome raving reviews on Amazon.com) It contains everything from bandaids, burn gel, and tweezers, to cold packs, and is a great size for home, or the car. I will be using mine on our ATV's. They also have a smaller kit, called the medibuddy, which is a diaper bag essential. It contains items such as sting relief, bandages, and antibiotic creams. A good item to keep in the glovebox as well!

BUY IT: Visit me4kids site and find a retailer near you. They even have organic diapering sets, and pet care items! Check it out!

WIN IT: me4kidz is offering up a medibuddy for grabs to our simple readers! Simply leave a comment WITH YOUR EMAIL INFO in it, and we will pick a winner next Friday, April 3rd, and post the winner's name to this tab. You will also be contacted by email. One entry per household please.
