When it comes to toys these days, all toys are not created equal. Before I had kids, my overall toy plan was that I was going to buy my kids the cheapest toys I could find, not invest a lot. I mean, if a plastic fork can entertain them for hours, give them what they want! Right?
Wrong.
I had precious little babies that meant the world to me. I wanted to do no harm, provide for them to the best of my ability. Overnight, I became acutely aware. Suddenly toy recalls were all I head about. The toys my baby was playing with could potentially make her sick!
Now, I make better, more conscious toy choices that benefit not only my family but the environment as well. Quality vs. quantity is important. We don’t need a million toys, just a good selection of basic, simple, engaging toys will do the trick.
Natural Pod is an amazing Canadian company that is all about beautiful, open-ended, natural toys for our children. They strive to provide an amazing assortment of creative play toys, from beautiful baby toys to stacker and adorable dolls. Currently, our favorite Natural Pods toys have been the rainbow stacker and watercolor jars.
Natural Pod has some really safe toy solutions and I would highly recommend them to any friend, parent or grandparent.
Buy it! Natural Pod can be purchased on the web through their online store. Go ahead, give them a visit…
Win it! Natural Pod wants to graciously give away one of their favorite toys to a Simple reader. To be entered, go to their online store, shop around, come back here and leave a comment telling us what item is your favorite.
Giveaway will run through Thursday July 3rd, 2008. Winner will be chosen at random and submitted through Prizey Winner Fetch.
