Cakes By Me : 10 People could Win!

12136461608732106030779

12116571151991336031133.jpegEver want to take a shot at decorating your kids cake... yet have no clue what to buy or where to start? I can admit that my cake decor skills are about as bad as they get. I was going to school for art and was the best in my class throughout high school.. even skipped 2 art levels! Cakes though... get me... and I always fail at it.

Cakes By Me was the solution I needed... It was a fun and simple way to decorate a cake according to a particular theme.

My parents were in town this weekend so we decided to make the cake for them. Although the design I picked was more geared towards the boys. It was still fun to play with.

IMG_7987

The Cake kit came with everything you needed...

1. Icing. For all over covering of the cake... as well as an icing tool to add lettering, or designs around the cake.
2. Sprinkles. Ours came with two kinds.
3. Toppers (3 tractor/trucks in this case)
4. Rice paper decoration. This stuff was so cool!!! And so easy to use.
5. And of course the box of cake mix.

IMG_7997All I had to provide were 3 eggs, water and a tiny bit of oil.

With everything all nicely and adorably packaged in a box we were more than prepared to make this cake.

With our cake we didn't add a lot of icing. Im not big on sugar.. but my boys do love some.. so I allowed it to be on top of the cake.. but not on the sides. Also as you can tell my cake got a little brown. I HAVE AN AWFUL OVEN... I burn 90% of my baking goods. We need a new one desperately.

All in all though the cake turned out cute. Despite my terrible icing writing skills hehe.. and my boys enjoyed picking every last bit of that rice paper off tonight after dinner.

Buy It: You can buy this cake design or many many other designs on Cakes By Me.com. They are great for any age...

Win It: We get to giveaway not one... not two... but 10!!! cake kits to randomly drawn winners. US only please.

In order to qualify please leave us a comment letting us know what cake design you would like if you won.
