It's that time of year...time to get that Christmas play list together and get ready to be immersed with cheer. We always have a Thanksgiving/Christmas tradition at my house. Let me explain...
We take a road trip to Michigan every Thanksgiving. On the trip there, the music is free reign. We put the ipod on shuffle and let it do it's thing. But on the return trip, now that's a different story. The 5 hour pilgrimage back to Indy...it's all Christmas music, all the time.
The return trip means that we listen to all our Christmas favorites. The music brings us into the mood. It prepares us mentally for coming home, decking the halls, being merry.
This year we will be listening to the Il Divo Christmas Collection, amongst other fantastic artist. If you are not familiar, Il Divo it's a smooth, silky, amazingly sweet quartet(and have I mentioned that they are stunningly handsome) brought together in 2004 by the world famous pop guru Simon Cowell.
We love the sound of the four some belting out classics such as O Holy Night, Ave Maria and Silent Night, just to name a few. Il Divo is the perfect choice quiet winter nights home with family and friends.
Il Divo has so much more to offer than just Christmas Music. Right now, they are in the midst of launching their richest, most dynamic album ever, called The Promise. The Promise, well it promises to be their diverse album to date.
Buy it! You can pick up yourself a copy of the Il Divo Christmas Collection and The Promise right now on amazon.
Win it! We are giving away a copy of both the Il Divo Christmas Collection and luxury edition of the Promise album to on Simple Reader (a $42 value). To be entered, leave us a comment. Tell us what your favorite Christmas song is (other than the Il Divo Christmas Collection, of course).
Winner will be chosen December 2nd, 2008.
