Although I did cave in and get my girls computers for Christmas, they will only be used in strict moderation. I am all about arts and crafts, and creative play, and because of this, I am always in the market for great art supplies. I have found the ultimate site for meeting all your get-the-creative-juices-flowing needs! Creativity for Kids has some amazing products.
My girls had a great time checking out all the colored pencils, but I can easily say, their favorite (and mine) was the Watercolor EcoPencils by Faber Castell. Faber-Castell pencils are made from reforested wood, preserving natural forests, which was another aspect of their product that really drew me in.
These pencils work like this: Your child draws their picture with the rich color writing pencils, and then goes over it with a paint brush using plain water. It dries like a normal painted picture, but with much more vivid colors, and waaaaay less mess! The FC watercolor pad had really thick paper that worked really well. The jumbo triangular pencils are awesome for little hands, and are the perfect "first colored pencil."
Buy it: Creativity for Kids
Win it: Check out Creativity for Kids website, and leave a detailed comment letting us know what your favorite product there is. The winning comment, chosen at random on Friday, January 2 will recieve:
1 - 24 count GRIP Watercolor EcoPencils
1 - 10 count GRIP Markers
1 - 12 count Oil Pastels
1 - Watercolor Pad
so please be sure to leave your email address. All incomplete comments (without email info) will be deleted.

How can I pick just one favourite product? Impossible! I wish I had found this site when I was doing my Santa shopping - so many brilliant ideas all in one website - I could have saved hours of searching all the different toy store websites. All Creativity for Kids products are just amazing. Along with being fun, high-quality and inexpensive, they have also managed to squeeze in some education (shh, don't tell the kids...) as well. They cover different art techniques, nature, history and even squeeze in some science. I could go on and on ... but believe me, the biggest and best reviews will come from your children!
