While I am a huge Starbucks addict, I can take or leave ice cream. Reeeaaallllyyyy good ice cream I crave, but nothing short of Breyers or Ben and Jerry's will satisfy.I was excited, though, to see the Starbucks line of ice cream in my grocery's freezer section. If it's anything as good as the coffee, it was at least worth trying.
Oh. My. Word. That stuff is about forty nineteen levels of delicious. I started with the Caramel Macchiato and moved on to the Mocha Frappuccino. Both are equally delicious and I couldn't pick a favorite if I had to. How to describe it? The fact that cream is the first ingredient should be a major clue as to how rich the stuff is. It's so creamy, and good and packed full of authentic Starbucks flavor that it's like eating dessert. Well, I guess ice cream technically would fall under that category anyway, but it's one of the finer desserts, like cheesecake or custard.
One of the things that I love most about the Starbucks line of ice cream is that because it's so rich and flavorful, you only need a tiny bit to satisfy your craving. This makes it last sooo much longer, and keeps you from overeating. See how thoughtful the makers are - thinking of your health like that?
