WasteNot Saks are reusable sandwich bags that have the potential to take the place of hundreds and hundreds, if not more than 1,000, plastic bags in its lifetime. Not only does this save all of these bags from becoming non-biodegradable trash, but you will also save your hard earned money from the trash as well. It has been estimated that a family of four could save as much as $3,000 per year by avoiding disposable containers and single-serving size packages!! WasteNot's reusable sandwich and snack sacks are convenient to use and are very easily maintained.
WasteNot Saks are made with a stylish 100% cotton exterior and are lined with water- and stain-resistant nylon. After using, you can simply shake out the crumbs, turn the bag inside-out and wipe the liner down, or if you have a particularly goopy PB&J that day just toss it in the washing machine and line dry. The sandwich Sak measures 6.5" x 6.5" and is closed using a generous strip of Velcro -- keeping your goodies securely inside.
I can not tell you how much I LOVE these Saks. They are perfect and I use them just about everyday. I will definately buy some of these to add to our collection. Super fun fabric...you are bound to find a few that you have to have. Plus she has the smaller snack size bags.

This would definitely become a diaper bag essential: most likely filled with graham crackers and oat cereal -- as those are my son's current favorite snacks on the run! I love this idea. I'm pretty tired of washing and reusing the plastic ziplocs. :)

Definitely for sandwiches.
ReplyDeletejswandrn @ gmail.com
I've been considering something like this for the coming school year. Last year I used small re-usable Gladware containers for my son's snacks. But the sandwich proved problematic. I stopped using plastic bags and used tin foil instead, which isn't much better, and then putting it in the recycle bin. This is a much better solution.

M daughter always carries a sandwich bagie full of cereal wherever she goes. This is way better since since it is meant to be reusable and won't end up with a hole in it like the baggie, thus preventing froot loops from getting all over my car.
ReplyDeleteI take my lunch almost every day so I would use it to carry my sandwich or my snack!
