I'm not a huge advocator of propping my girls up in front of the television to zone out. But, movies and TV are a part of our lives and in small doses; and I'm ok with that. Sometimes we are just so go, go, go that a little down time resting in front of an educational program is a very welcome reprieve for me.
eebees adventures are videos for your young ones (6 month to +12month range) designed to transform every day play and exploration into learning that last. The videos encourage active learning, simple exploration, and environmental interaction.
When I watch my youngest interact with her surroundings, I get a small glimpse into her ever curious mind. What might seam dull and mundane to us adults (folding laundry, organizing the shoes, cleaning the kitchen) is an adventure waiting to happen for a toddler. I love eebee adventures because it teaches learning through doing; and I can totally see it happening in my toddler.
Currently the 3 DVD available ($17.95 each) are exploring real stuff, figuring things out and all in a day's play. In addition to this great video series, we can't resist silly eebee doll - it's a playtime must have at our house.
The company motto is to "transform everyday play into learning that lasts", and it's clear that they are well on their way to achieving this goal will flying colors. What I've enjoyed the most from eebee is that it's simple enough for my toddler to enjoy, and also interesting enough to keep my preschoolers attention. Win-Win at our house!
GET YOUR OWN - All the eebee adventure DVD's and toys can be purchased online at the eebee official website.
WIN YOUR OWN - We have a if the shape fits eebee shape sorter ($32) for one lucky Simple reader. To be entered, leave us a comment letting us know what your little ones favorite "everyday adventure" is. (and if you are an expectant parent, what are you most excited to teach your new one).
Winner will be chosen randomly and announced April 13th, 2008.
