Honestly and Simply Eco- Friendly



I have a desire to be more eco-friendly around my house.... we recycle what we can, we try to be conscience of our water usage... but I really have been wanting to make some "reducing waste" changes. When I found Kara at Love for Earth on Etsy, I got stocked with the items that could help my family make the change.

For almost a month now, we have been using Kara's Everyday Cloth Napkins! My kids and husband love them because they are soo much softer. I like using the cloth napkins because my garbage is no longer full of paper napkins used once! In fact, I've noticed my family using less napkins all together... less to wash:)

I have found the napkins VERY easy to care for mostly because they are all white. With each set, Kara provides suggested ways to care for the napkins and get out those tough food stains.

The other item I have LOVED are Kara's reusable produce bags!!! I'm not sure where to start on describing these... they come in fabulous colors, sturdy and simple, light so they can be weighed with the produce inside, make my frig's produce drawers gorgeous and very affordable in the sets! I have had plenty of cashiers make comments about them AND they are soo easy to bring along shopping, just tucked into your purse/shopping bag. With each produce bag set, Kara also includes a reusable drawstring bag to keep them together.

Ok, if you think that is the end of Kara's eco-friendly products you are wrong:) She just released a line of reusable puppy house-training pads .... very practical. As well as some fun reusable zipper lunch and snack bags that are waterproof and more sturdy than Velcro bags! What will she think of next:)

    I would definitely want to get some reusable produce bags. I always hate using the plastic bags at the grocery store, so this would be a nice way to still be able to keep the produce separate and bagged without wasting so many plastic bags!

    I would get some large produce bags, some zipper bags and maybe some napkins too (we use washcloths now but the napkins look nicer!).

    The only items I saw on the site now are various produce bags though - no napkins or zip bags.

    I would buy the set of 40 everyday reusable napkins. We use men's plain white handkerchiefs that my mom decided years ago she could clip to our chairs. We use 'em for a couple of meals before tossing them in the wash (unless we eat something really messy, like spaghetti). I've been trying to decide what to buy for my new home once I get married. These look like the perfect solution!
