Mix & Mash with eebee's Adventures

My girls LOVE to bake with me. I think this love of helping me prepare food started early on because I've always tried to make mealtime fun. As young toddlers exploring their new taste buds; mixing, mashing and unfortunately even throwing their food has been a part of the routine.

The brilliant folks over at Every Baby Company have cooked up another fun board book, eebee's Mix & Mash: Adventures in the Kitchen for Baby & You In this board book you will find fun and exciting ways to cook with your baby.

Probably our favorite recipe in the book is the blueb-eebee soup. Although potentially messy - how fun for baby is it to play with warm blueberry soup!

eebee's Mix and Mash Adventure is 13 pages of real recipes, real food adventures, and even comes with real nutritional facts and foodie tidbits. Retailing for $12.95, this book also comes with a really fun DVD that demonstrates and discusses learning opportunities and the nutritional benefits of each recipe.

To celebrate the publication of book, eebee's Adventures is having a $500 Mix & Mash Foodie Contest (to giggle.com)! Every baby company invites you to submit photos of your “foodie baby” to this contest (that's my daughter enjoying her 1st birthday cake).

To be considered, the photo must show your baby eating, “playing” with food, in the process of “preparing/cooking” food, enjoying food, or otherwise engaged in the process of discovering food. The photo must feature the baby only (or babies in the event of multiples). To be considered for the prize, no adults may be in the picture. Enter your photo to their facebook site here. This photo contest runs through December 8th, read official rules here.

WIN ONE YOURSELF! We've giving away a eebee's Mix & Mash board book ($12.95) to one lucky Simple reader. To enter, leave us a comment letting us know what your child's favorite food is to play with.

For additional entries: (comment once for each entry)
Winner will be randomly chosen and notified on December 14th, 2009.

  1. Anything he can grab is his favorite food to play with. He must be in an experimental phase with it all!

  9. My son's favorite finger foods are soggy cheerios and banana. No joke. :) But if I win this book I will give it to my niece for Christmas, and she loves mashed pumpkin from my backyard.:)

  13. I have a boy- he likes playing with anything he can smoosh or smash into his clothes, hair, fingers, table, high chair... He is particularly fond of eating icing when I am making a cake though! That makes for adorable pics :-)

  16. My sons favorite food to "play" with right now is banana too. He's only nine months though, so he hasn't had many options. I am reluctant to let him make much of a mess yet...
