HABA Board Games

It's cold, cold, COLD outside in our neck of the woods and we find ourselves spending hours on end in the house doing indoor activities.

One thing that keeps us from going stir crazy is playing a good game. As of recently, my daughter has really taken to playing board games. When she finds a game that she enjoys, we play it endlessly over and over again.

There's no doubt about it, HABA creates amazing toy. But did you know they have a large board game selection as well? We didn't know that, until recently.

What we love about HABA games is that they are extremely well made and timeless (or should we say ageless). Timeless in the sense that they grow with the child. As a child develops and gets older, many of the games adapt to the child's skill level. It's great to know that a game you buy when they're 5 can still be fun and entertaining when they're 8.
We're enjoying the cooperative HABA game Castle Knights ($35.99). It's a fantastic game for the 5 and up crowd, as working against the clock and balancing skills are required. The premise for the game is that the knights have to quickly build 3 towers before the King gets home. We love it because it teaches the players to work together towards a common goal - building the towers.

In a world filled with "screens" (tv, movies, video games, computer games, ect.), it's refreshing to sit down and play a board game. And no batteries are ever required!

HABA products can be found nationwide at over 1,000 U.S. specialty retail stores and in specialty catalogs and websites such as Maukilo.com

  1. The selection of toys available from Habba is impressive. Every child will enjoy playing with the Doctor's Suitcase. It is made in Germany and features tube of ointment, syringe...etc...It's very well equipped.

  2. We LOVE Haba boardgames. My hubby is a boardgame geek and had to buy games for my son for Christmas despite his being only two. Thanks to Haba, we actually have great games that he can easily play. Orchard and Socken Zocken are so much fun and we play them almost daily.

  3. Some may feel squeamish about eating it, but rabbit has a fan base that grows as cooks discover how easy they are to raise — and how good the meat tastes.
