So it's cold outside!! And nothing sounds better than a tasty bowl of soup during the frigid days:) While homemade sounds delicious, the prep time isn't always available. And as I walk the soup aisle, I am always checking the labels and amazed at how much sodium these soups often contain!
Soooo, when Progresso invited my family to try out their Reduced Sodium line, we were game! In fact, I had my in-laws help me out with the review since they watch their cholesterol and sodium intake and eat reduced sodium foods on a regular basis.
They tried the Reduced Sodium Chicken Gumbo and had this to say," We both thought it was quite tasty, had plenty of things in the soup and was also plenty salty to be a reduced recipe. Bottom line: good!"
I also like how simple Progresso makes it to find these soups among all the others. Their 5 delicious flavors, and soon adding Tomato Parmesan, are labeled with the "May Help Lower Cholesterol" banner and the Heart Healthy logo making it easier to find and eat a little more "heart healthy"!
Get Your Own! Progresso Reduced Sodium soup can be found at your local grocer in the coup aisle in many different and pleasing flavors :)
Win Your Own!! We have a Progresso Healthier You Prize pack for a SIMPLE reader;) It contains 2 caps of Progresso soup, a soup mug and a fitness ball... super for the long cold winter!! Share, in a comment, how you keep your cholesterol in control with food choices.
Extra Entries (leave a separate comment for each):

Good Luck!! Giveaway ends December 18th:)

I have borderline high cholesterol, so I've been eating quick oatmeal (not the store-bought kind, either. I put the oatmeal and some brown sugar and cinnamon together and mix and heat when I get to work) in the mornings for breakfast. The boyfriend LOVES steak and I don't want to completely cut it out of our diets, so I've replace beef with bison, which has less cholesterol than chicken and still tastes like beef.

I look to eat things with low to NO cholestrol as "a plan"... but I am allergic to a few things, so I usually am reading lots of labels, & I pay attention to cholestrol, and sodium as well.
