One book, 44 classic stories.

The 20th-Century Children's Book Treasury was given to my daughter on her first birthday. The inside inscription (written to her, from her Aunt) reads:
Happy Birthday! As you grow, may you grow to love books and begin to read too. This is a great place to start to find a good story. So grab your mom or dad, and find a comfy spot...

Since that day over 3 years ago, this book has truly become our go-to place to read a quick and classic story. What's so great about it? This 308 page book includes 44 classic read aloud stories under one cover.

My kids love this book because they have so many stories to choose from. Most of the time, we can't choose just one, and all of a sudden one story has turned into three.

I love this book because so many of the stories inside this book I remember being read aloud to by my parents, over 25 years ago. Some of my favorite classics within these pages include:
  • Goodnight Moon
  • Guess how much I love you
  • Curious George
  • Miss Nelson is Missing
  • The Tub People
  • Bedtime for Frances
This book has without question become one of my go-to baby and first birthday gifts.

GET IT YOURSELF! The 20th-Century Children's Book Treasury: Picture Books and Stories to Read Aloud can be found most everywhere. Or of course on our favorite site, Amazon.
