dora the explorer :: it's haircut day!

One of the first cartoons that Lili was drawn to was dear little Dora. I must say, there are MUCH worse, so I was happy to see that it was Dora versus the others.

Nickelodeon just released on May 3rd, their newest Dora the Explorer compilation. Again, a great hit around here.

America’s favorite explorer is back with Dora the Explorer: It's Haircut Day! This four-episode DVD set includes “Dora’s Hair-Raising Adventures,” where Boots receives his first haircut. In addition, celebrate Dora’s twin siblings’ first birthday; join in on a spaceship adventure; and hop on Pegaso, the flying horse constellation!

All the episodes on this DVD are very applicable to the stages of life our oldest is going through right now, or has recently gone through. She just turned 5 and is having to share a lot more now with her baby sister...and soon to be another baby sister. I love in this DVD how they have a whole segment on younger siblings' birthdays. As well as haircuts...because some kids are just plain scared of hair cuts. It's nice how in Dora the Explorer episodes it's all very "real" to the kids. I believe it helps for a better experience all around when they see someone they "know" going through it as well. Bravo Nickelodeon on another job well done here!
