Bob Evans :: Family Meals {givewaway}


Ever feel like not cooking dinner? Not doing the dishes? How about not making a mess of your kitchen? While I blame it solely on the summer heat, when it's 100 degrees hot outside, I just lose all motivation to cook. Or do anything really...

Bob Evans restaurants has recently launched Complete Family Meals TO GO that you can order online. Have you ever ordered your meals online? You guys, it's the best.

A few days ago, I was feeling particularly lazy so I thought I would give good ole' Bob Evans a try. I went online, ordered up the Slow Roasted Turkey Breast (complete with mashed potatoes and of course biscuits) and scheduled to pick it up around dinnertime. Yes, I pre-ordered it around 2pm and picked it up around 5:30. Easy as French Silk Pie.


The verdict? To be able to feed my family prepared food for under $20, it was awesome. My husband and kids loved to comfort food, and I didn't have to deal with a messy kitchen. Next time we might try out the pot roast stroganoff or the meat loaf (which happens to be one of my daughters favorite foods). Had I made this meal at home? Every pot and pan would be in the sink.

Do I recommend it? Yes, yes I do. I also think it might be a great way to bring a new mom a hot meal after having a baby. Or maybe to that friend who's having a rough time.  And as always, don't forget to throw in a piece of pie (or three)!
