What Cereal is in Your bowl???

While I would love to cook a big breakfast for my famiy every morning... it is just NOT possible? Knowing breakfast is beneficial for us all, we regularly enjoy cereal.

The one brand I am glad to have available for my family is General Mills!! I have always been glad for the vitamins and calcium available in some of their popular varities!! I am also excited that General Mills recently announced that they will reduce sugar to single digits in cereals that are advertised for kids!!! So now I don't have to cringe when they reach for the Lucky Charms for breakfast... LOL!!

As babies, my kids started on Cheerios and now love Chex, Honey Nut Cheerios and even some varieties of Total... for breakfast and snacks! I gave coupons (from GM and MyBogSpark) to my husband who wanted some different cereal in the cabinet, he came home with a HUGE box of Lucky Charms and a box of Total!!!! LOL!!

I found this resource very interesting!! One fact is that those who eat cereal for breakfast can actually consume less calories and fat than other breakfast choices!! I believe it.... if we have biscuits, sausage/bacon/ham and eggs plus jam or another option is pancakes with butter and syrup... all the fat and sugar adds up!
